Measuring values
Use response time, errors, processing volume, and index actuality as a basis. Add search quality, zero-result searches and product clicks to link technical deviations to visitor impact. Keep labels manageable so that measurements do not become unnecessarily expensive or unclear.
Log details
Capture enough context to reproduce an error, such as route, store, configuration version and a secure request ID. Avoid full search or personal data when they are not needed. Make sure that warnings refer to relevant logs.
Chain Measurements
Measure how much time each step uses: retrieve, filter, arrange, enrich and external dependencies. This makes it clear where delays or errors occur. Use samples wisely to keep usable insight without fully saving any request.
Commercial cohesion
Connect technical signals to search results, clicks and conversions. This gives a small error rate with a large turnover impact the right priority. Conversely, this coupling prevents a normal commercial fluctuation from being treated unfairly as a technical failure.
