Change log

Deviations can be explained more quickly when changes can be found.

-Search quality and conversion can change through code, product data, rules or campaigns. A central change log prevents guesswork and makes visible which adjustment became active around the start of a deviation.

Scope of the change

Capture what changed in code, index fields, synonyms, arrangement, merchandising, AI settings, or measurement. Describe the intended effect and the stores involved. Use a recognizable version number or reference to the source change.

Time and introduction

Note the exact moment when the change became active and whether this happened in phases. Ing time zone and any delay due to caches or reindexing. This makes comparison with graphs and events reliable.

Owner and decision

Capture who prepared, reviewed and released the change. Also note the pre-arranged checks and recovery criteria. This makes decision-making easy to follow without being dependent on individual chat messages or personal memory.

Linking to results

Connect larger changes to an experiment, incident, quality measurement or evaluation after go-live. Note whether the expected result has been achieved and what follow-up action is needed. This also makes the log a resource for learning and prioritizing.

Search management

Make reliability part of daily management.

Discuss which measurements, responsibilities and restoration routes fit your online stores and technical environment.
